After graduating with a bachelors degree in mathematics and computer science in 1969, Dan started his career working as a computer software developer for the U.S. Air Force as an officer, and after separating from the Air Force, later, for major corporations as programmer, systems analyst, team leader, project manager and department manager. He started his own computer consulting company in 1977, providing business application software development and management consulting services to San Francisco Bay Area businesses.

Following his interest in the law while working as a computer consultant, Dan decided that with the dramatic changes in business triggered by the impact of computers and software, there was a need for attorneys who were experienced in the high technology arena, particularly in areas related to computer software. So he decided to change career fields and become an attorney working in those areas. After graduating from law school, he was admitted to the California State Bar in 1993.

Dan followed his interest and after being admitted to the California State Bar, he took the Bar examination for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) . He passed the USPTO Bar and was then registered to represent clients in need of patent services before the USPTO.

Dan is now an intellectual property attorney, practicing in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and intellectual property litigation. Dan uses his expertise in the law of high technology to help clients get the best value from their intellectual property and for protecting their Intellectual Property rights.
